<p>Phenomenal food and wine, perfectly paired, with service that was beyond reproach.</p>

<p>Before I go on, know that I am a self-professed amateur foodie and yes, I must admit, that as of the start I was somewhat biased being that my friend Tim is co-owner and co-chef, (who&#8217;s cooking I had never sampled) so from the first step over the threshold of the victorian home that was the setting of my friend&#8217;s surprisingly cozy and trendy wine bar, I really wanted everything to be great. And it was.</p>

<p>His business partner Brad, who I only met tonight and which cooked us some of the best food I&#8217;ve had in a long time, was to say the least, a pleasure to have briefly met. (both co-owner/chefs switch weeks where one is in the kitchen, while the other on the floor)</p>

<p>Basically; the food was very fresh, perfectly executed, and beautifully presented.</p>

<p>Rob; our perfectly sarcastic bartender/sommelier was amazing, and provided the timely &#8220;straight man&#8221; lines (and fantastic food pairings) as owner/chef Tim (who won&#8217;t shut up;), tried to be charming, working the room.</p>

<p>Seriously though, Tim is one of the most stand up, passionate people I&#8217;ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and he, and his co-owner/co-chef Brad, are two of the most talented chefs in Ottawa.</p>

<p>Intimate/funky atmosphere (Jeff Buckley playing in the background), great prices, great wine, food, and fun.</p>

<p>Fantastic establishment run by people who care about wine, food and ultimately, your experience.</p>
